The Rooms

Staying at the Califa is like staying at a large private house with multiple levels, corridors & courtyards dividing up the eight houses that make up the hotel of varying ages & architectural styles. There is a degree of intimacy in whichever part of the hotel you are staying in.

  • Every room at the Califa is different in shape, size, style & decoration and each has slightly different aspects. Most rooms overlook a quiet pedestrian area except no.18 & ‘Palmera’ (which overlook the palm filled Plaza de España) and the ‘Torre’ & ‘Africa’ suites which are double fronted and overlook both the views across the town and country and the Plaza de España.
  • We have rooms for all budgets - smaller simple rooms to large luxurious suites

The Emir Service

All rooms are available with "The Emirs service" for your arrival day. The service includes:

  • Fresh flowers in your room
  • A bottle of Brut cava on ice
  • A box of very special chocolates
  • A bowl of fruit

The price for the service is: 43€. per room. Please select "Emir Service" on making your reservation.

  • Small Double

    These are the smallest rooms with double beds and full bathrooms with bidet and full length bath. These rooms overlook courtyards.

  • Standard Double

    Mid to large size rooms with either twin beds or a double bed.

  • Special Double

    Our Special Double rooms are similar in size to the Standard Doubles with similar fixtures however all these rooms have unique features depending on their situation within the hotel. All have views either across the town or country and some are in the most historic part of the hotel. Rooms are available with twin or double beds.

  • Junior Suite

    Our two junior suites both have 18th.century cross vaulted ceilings & antique furniture. 'Sol' has twin beds and a balcony overlooking the garden. The bathroom has a modern walk in shower. "Limón" has a king size double bed and a small bathroom with a large Jacuzzi type bath. 'Limon' has 3 large windows one of which overlooks the garden. Both rooms are about 22msq. plus bathroom.

  • Torre Suite

    Classic suite with separate sitting room overlooking Plaza de España. Large balcony to the Plaza and views across town and country from the bedroom. Fully equipped bathroom.

  • Africa Suite

    Spectacular loft style room (50m2) with views to the sea and Africa on a clear day. King size bed. Large bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and separate walk in shower. Double fronted with views also to the Plaza de España.
